    Default wireing or switch issue

Thought I had a bad switch for my livewell[ livewell motor would not come on]. unloosened it from the dash and the motor started running. When I tighten the switch back up tp the dash the motor will not run. any ideas.

Check to see if either of the wires is touching the dash, but sounds like the switch is back. Likely when tightening it you are distorting the shape, causing the contacts to not make contact.

Unloosen the switch and turn it on. If it's running see how tight you can tighten it until it stops running.

Tried that . I can get about 3 thread on the nut before it stops. Put a new switch on it a minute ago and it did the same thing but could get a few more threds on this one but still not tight. I may try a thin spacer or washer to see if that will do it. let you know.
