    Has anyone ever heard of an adaptor plug that will convert ignition wiring like from Mercury to Johnson? May be a dumb idea but thought I would ask.

    No such animal, adaptor to go from older Johnson to newer and the same with Merc , but from one motor brand to another nope never seen or heard of it.
