I got a 1986 mercury 25 hp outboard motor. I was using it the other day and it started acting weird. I would twist the handle to go and it would go just fine. But when i went to floor it it would shift into neutral.If i got to a certain point in turning the handle it would go into neutral. But if i just slowly excelled and didn't twist the handle all the way it wouldn't go into neutral. Have any of you guys had that problem? Or know what the problem might be? I thought it might be something in the twist handle but i really don't know anything about motors. Im just trying to figure out how much money this is going to cost me to get fixed.
