Evinrude e tec problems
I have a 2006 evinrude etec 2 stroke on my 16 foot all weld and I am wondering if anyone out there has one and if so what is there top speed? I have a 13.25x17 prop on it and I can't get the boat to run over 29mph at 5000 rpms.... Any help would be much appreciated!

It is a 13.25 x 17 pitch.... It is a 40 horse so I am going to try a 13 pitch and see what it will do

A 13p should get you up around 5800 rpm. Not sure what the recommended RPM range is for the E-Tec but that sounds just about right. That 17p is just way too much pitch for that motor and a prop doesn't need to be repitched up or down more than one degree. If I prop guy tells you he can pitch one down two or three degrees find another prop guy. You are much better off finding 13p and then just selling the 17.
