Default Tires for a tracker trailer?

What size tires for a 1982 bass tracker trailer?

Just bought a 1982 Bass Tracker II 16 ft. "project" boat, and it came with dry-rotted P185/80R13s on what looks like the original steel wheels with the full moon hubcaps & bearing buddies.

Will probably ditch the wheels & hubcaps & go with white spoke wheels (fresh water use only).

Should I go with the bias ply 175D13s at Tractor Supply/Northern Tools, or go with LT radials? Haven't owned a trailer like this for 16+ years

Looking for smooth tracking & ride on the trailer. Don't like the bumpy ride that some bias tires give, but it has been over 16 years, and tires have surely changed.....maybe?

Thanks for any help you can give me

If you don't want to use TRAILER tires, then I would advise you to go with the radials. Just make sure that whatever tire you choose is rated to carry the load. I like the "project" boat.

i have bias tires on my 04 tracker trailer, don't notice a bumpy ride, but remember, you don't have a lot of weight back there, so its gonna bounce some no matter what tires on there.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Go with "trailer radials" watch the load rating the bigger tire the better have them balanced it is a must to get them to wear longer.
