Some of the chemicals used in treating wood can cause problems with aluminum...but you have them carpeted...and the chemical will not be in direct contact...as its not just dripping off when you get the wood. You should be fine.

I would think the wet carpet on the bunk would transfer the chemicals to the boat hull. If you used new treated lumber, check the tag that was stapled to it. I think there is a newer treatment that does effect aluminum like the previous stuff did. If you used the older style treated wood, I'd replace it now!

scrapper is point on, the treated lumber being carpeted is ok and will not hurt the hull of the aluminum boat i have used this method
for years and never had any trouble.

If you can find KDAT lumber it won't hurt aluminum. KDAT is kiln dried AFTER treatment so all chemicals are dried out before you use it, it can also be painted right away, no need to wait 6 months as in regular treated lumber.
