If you pull too hard on your Johnson, you're liable to strain something!

There is a pin under the bottom carb. that comes out of the shift rod. You will need a set of LONG needle nose pliers to put it back. That's the hard part.

    Good luck.

The best way to get to that bolt is an extension and to take a socket on a swivel and and put some really think grease in the socket....also put black tape on the joint of the swivel....put it at the angle you want...then you'll be able to get to the bolt and easily remove it...the grease is so you don't lose the bolt as it comes out. Think its metric by the way.
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15
