Was hoping to try for white perch this late winter/spring. I know we are probably a month or so away depending on the weather but was wondering what the key temps etc i should be looking for to start catching them. I have a good tidal creek that empties into the bay behind my house that I know has a perch population. The creek and bay are extremely shallow, no more than 10 feet deep in either. Was hoping to catch them at the creek mouth before they head too deep up the maze that is that waterway. I hve run aground many times back there and even have gotten a little lost before I had gps. Are the perch in that bay year round just waiting for the temps to trigger them or are they in the creek itself? Thanks for sny help.
