Thread: Back to crappie

Took a break from hunting and went crappie fishing yesterday it was cold and breezy but the fishing was good. Got to boat ramp at 7am went to a spot we usually do good at this time of year and got lucky didnt have to search em out.Steady got em til 11 am when we quit.They hit a wide array of colors mostly vertical jigging .Had my buddy that lets my son and i hunt on his property fishing with me and he wanted to have a fish fry so we kept a good mess counted at ramp we had 49 in livewell ,caught close to that many more . We also had 1 24 in. catfish ,1 yellow perch ,1 bass,and a handfull of bluegill.The crappie were very nice size no giants but a consistent 11 to 12 in. with a couple 13 in. very heavy too .Had a couple good pics but had phone malfunction dang it.It was good to get back on the fish and to have em be such a good grade of fish was reel nice.

Nice job tear. Get that phone fixed it's just not the same without some pics.
