What was water temp? Looks like the white perch are still pretty deep. We only have 44 degrees up here.

They must have spawned during that week long warm spell we had. They aren't "supposed" to spawn till it gets to 46.

I was out Sunday for a couple hrs and brought home 7 YP over 10". They all had roe with no signs of spawning soon. I did get 75 fish total between the crappie, YP and Bass.

I don't think they all spawned but the ones I caught did and I saw the row in the stream I usually look at the sreams this time of year and alot of times see em actually spawning .Didn't see fish the other day just the eggs.Water temp may have shot up and dropped again hope the eggs make. Hours of daylight also trigger fish to spawn ,sometimes when the temps not rite the eggs don't make.I'm sure fish up there could be later too.I hope the spec trout are going to be good this year alot of em died this winter va.closed em til july 31st cuz of it.

When do the yellow perch run? I seem to miss it every year. I guess I usually think it is to cold. Do you ever eat perch roe?
