Thread: Warm day crappie

Wow what a warm day for late Dec. it was a bit windy though and took us a couple stops before we found a good bunch as we had to fish anchored up today. After anchoring in some spots we have done good at in the past on about the 3rd stop after only getting a few we hit em steady . They were biting real soft today kinda putting slack in it coming rite at you . Had to reel fast on the hook set to catch up to em ,sometimes just saw the line kinda go sideways (love the hi vis yellow suffix elite for that)after hooked they fought real good . We kept 33 for the farmer where we hunt out of 72 on the clicker. Hot baits were fin-s in various colors on 1/16 th oz. jigheads fished real slow near the bottom in a current break in 18ft. wt 40
