    Scott,

I agree with Tear. Some of my best days were when it was snowing.

    Tear,

Nice job on the crappie. I'm still working on issues with the boat so I have been fishing some of my shorline spots with little success. I keep hearing you should have been here 2 weeks ago. I'm off the next 2 weeks so maybe I can get the boat going and score some slabs.

Thanks Tear. I did catch some Rock up to 25 inches with my crappie lures. They wouldn't take any surface lures so I just ripped a bobber over the surface with a 2 inch plastic shad 2 feet below. They hammered that setup. They were still in the back tributaries last week.

Mike, I was fishing Middle river on Wednesday, this week, using the same set up and had good success... old school, but effective. YP, LM, Pickeral, Rock, all shallow. No slabs however and ML was dead for me.

They were catching a few slabs 4 weeks ago but you know how that place is. If you find them you better stay on them because they will be gone. We were in the same neck of the woods. All the YP and LM I have been catching there have been small except one 2 1/2 pound LM. Even the gills have been small with one or two bulls.

I think I might head out tomorrow. The water was high when I got off work. 25 to 35 mph wind tomorrow with gusts to 55. The wind won't stop me, but the wife might.

    Mike
