Shoulda tried for 2000 a little more I guess but only crappie fished once in july and once in augest to keep the string of every month catching one going. Still alot of saltwater stuff coming up but will do more and crappie stuff as it gets cooler . Last weekend got 17 on thur. evening and 7 on mon. morn quickie along with some big ole bluegill and red ears.Hopefully will start seeing more guys on here posting again now thats its starting to cool off.

Sounds like a man with a plan. I think a dose of cooler weather will help everyone feel better and more like
catchin' and everyone can always get a quick cure for whatever ails 'em with a big platter of croppie fillets.

My year generally starts in October for Crappie. I'll be on here more in a couple weeks. Just started to "upgrade" my Bass Hound this week for the upcoming season

Thats a neat goal of a crappie each month and added bonus of counting all caught too. I am hoping to begin my fall season this coming weekend. I plan on targeting crappie with a fall back to catfish. The cooler weather is much more enjoyable and I may be coupling it with a few hours in the deer woods. My freezer is pretty light on meat and fish right now.
That total or keepers? We catch tons of Crappie on my home lake but have to cull 80% most days to keep a limit of 20. That's what's so great about Crappie fishing is they multiply fast and there are enough to keep you interested unlike some species.
