    Default Fun in the rain

Hit the gorge this afternoon. If I was keeping them I would have limited out in about 20 minutes. For nearly half an hour I caught on every cast. It was a good time even in the chilly rain by myself.

Last fish of the day was a green sunfish. I have never caught one before, it kinda looks like a bass bluegill cross. It was only about 4 inches but it hit like a freight train, thought I had a bass at first.

I have fished from shore but lately by boat mostly. I went once last week by shore. Its difficult to get to spots because the reservoir is at full pool. the woods there are full of ticks. I pulled two deer ticks off myself and about a half dozen from my dog after one trip. I did catch some crappie from shore but its not as efficient as from a boat.

I tried around the rte 29 bridge very briefly in early march when the water was still very cold with no luck.

I was mainly bass fishing and didnt have
    the
correct lures or gear with me. I would imagine it is still good because not too many people go that far and most seem to be
    targetting bass.

I do remember it was good in the fall. We used to work the pillings as well as the shadow line from the bridge.
