    Default potomac docks?

Is there good dock shooting places on the Potomac? I know theres lots of marinas up there and figured they would be good crappie spots , I watched those videos with Russ Baily catching crappie in those marinas off lake Erie. Mdcrappie does well on docks in the upper bay tribs. Capt. Mike thats your turf what do think?

Most of the crappie that I have caught in the Potomac have come from the Spoils cove. The suspend on the concrete islands there. There are some docks in places like broad creek and such but I have no Idea if they hold crappie or not.

I do know some Upper Bay river docks that hold crappie. They are holding 10 less after this afternoon.

If you ever get up this way and want to check them out just give me a holler

I would like to try there sometime, do they ever bite out in front of the docks? We fish around some docks down here and sometimes they bite out in front. I need to practice dock shooting some more , I was thinking of getting one of those B&M dock shootin poles.

Sometimes they come out, but they really need to be on the feed. Most times they are back under tight to the pilings.

I use the Wally Marshall 5'6" lite action rod from BPS. I also have a 5'6" BPS Extreme rod in lite action that is nicer....but cost twice as much.

Yes many to choose from.. The best is Bell Haven and second is Swan Creek..
Third best is Fort Washington.. I have been stocking those docks for 19 years now and there are big ones in there. I personnaly flip with 16 foot cane pole and a double doll fly rig under a bobber.. One white and one yellow..
