Thread: Newbie

Welcome aboard. I live in Easton on the eastern shore and a newbie too. I find that its a good board for information on freshwater fishing.

I've been to/through Eason many times. Most times while headed to Blackwater to hunt sika. You fowl hunt, Steve?

I used to do much more fowl hunting but with duck populations down and lack of spots to go to I mostly go on a handful of Canada Goose hunts.

I do participate most years in Blackwaters sika gun hunt. Do you have private land down in that area?

No, I don't have private land down there to hunt. I do all my hunting down there on public, mostly on Blackwater but some on Fishing Bay.

I fowl hunt, but mostly in Washington and Frederick counties. We don't get the numbers of ducks you guys get, but the geese are mostly residents so we can kill 5 a day.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I grew up in MD, live 2 miles above the Mason/Dixon in Waynesboro, PA but do all of my hunting and fishing in MD. I also own a house near Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County where I have been doing most of my crappie fishing. Although I've been fishing all my life, I'm fairly new to the crappie fishing game. I've been fishing for them on a small reservior, mostly using live bait.
