Old wives 'tale ?

I believe the moon can affect fishing. I really believe the length of days affect the spawn. And the spring rains affect where they hold up out of the currents.
But I have a question, does it really matter for the guy using FFS?
I don't have it. But I ain't never seen so many catching limits like they do now.
I love to hear old wives tales.

Depends on if the cows are standing?

There is something to be said here when we dairy-ed and cows were on pasture if most were laying down seems fishing was much tougher then if all were standing and actively eating.

There is something to be said here when we dairy-ed and cows were on pasture if most were laying down seems fishing was much tougher then if all were standing and actively eating.

To keep them active, I drop Joe off at the nearest pasture and make him chase the cows around while I fish.

I know y’all have probably heard this before, but still makes me laugh -
I carried a couple of older fellows fishing years ago, they commented as we drove by a big herd of cows, all standing and eating. Said fish oughta be a biting. We had a tough day and didn’t catch much. On the way home passing by same herd of cows, one guy commented that we oughta stop and shoot those cows for lying
