I understood brush piles!!!! I did not figure you were using your hands. I figured you were catching them on a pole.

Mostly black crappie here in are area, ultra light ULC3, 4s and 5s shad raps, under spins over spins with a twister tail or paddle tail,3” pumpkin pepper meany was working good with a 1/8-1/4 ounce jig under a over spin last time out trolling.

Well, I went out to Lake Dubuisson this morning to try my luck. It was a great morning. I did not catch many but they were all whites! LOL
I caught one on every color that I was running and two on the pearl colored Bandit 300. Another great day, I'll be back at it soon.

Black ones will definitely hit while trolling. They are usually higher in the water column than white. Lures might need to run shallower than the typical bandit 300 depth. I use in- line trolling weights to place the crankbaits at the fishes depth.

Thanks, that is helpful. I am running a Shakespeare line counting reel and an Abu Garcia line counting reel to start. I did not try to run any 200's Saturday because the thermocline was deep. I think that my baits were running from 12 to 14 feet down. I may have been a bit too deep. I plan to go back!

Sounds like you are in the right track. I have a lot of different cranks, but the Pico INT seem to outperform most others regularly. Maybe order a few of those for the mix
