I've done it before and used super glue gel. Regular super glue works too but is much thinner and will run easily. Best to tie a base on hook shank like dental floss or thread to help hold plastic to the glue.

How many people out there glue on your jig heads? If so what kind of glue do you think is best, and why?![]()

I have done it. Cheap superglue. It does help a jig body last longer when dock shooting. I dropped Slabsauce on it after I glued it to prevent the possibility of gluing it to my fingers when shooting and cover up some of the smell

What they said is how I do it
In my experience the loctite super gel works well and doesn’t have an odor or cause an adverse reaction to the plastic. I like the easy to use container it comes in.

I, too, used the Loctite Gel to glue my tube jig bodies to the jighead ... just putting a drop on the backside of the lead head, where the hook comes out, then pushing the tube onto the hook and holding it against the lead head for maybe 15sec's before casting it. I stopped using glue once I switched from hollow tubes to solid tube jig bodies. And I switched from the hollow tubes to the solid tubes, because the fish were nipping the skirt strands off instead of just pulling the skirt down on the hook (which was the original reason for using glue).
Nowadays, I don't have a problem with the plastics being pulled down on the hook, so I no longer use glue. If the plastics are being pulled down, it's usually after having caught a number of fish on that jig & time for another body to be put on, anyway.
Were I using a jighead without a collar (retainer), then the use of Loctite Gel might well be back in the picture.![]()
Did it one time long ago , totally wasting time in my opinion and quite possibly destroying the plastic if you want a change up
