Default What is your Go-To Jig, in any water, clear water, stained water, and muddy water?

What is your Go-To Jig (style and color) for clear water, stained water, and muddy water? And also overall, "for any water".

This is a contest. The winner will get some Crappie.com Swag. I'll post pics of the swag shortly, but you'll have a head start.

Please provide some details about your picks and include pictures too. Beginner crappie fishermen would like to know what's good and what's not, and why. Also let us know if you use this for jigging, longlining, spider rigging, tipped with minnow, soaked in Slabsauce, or whatever. This will become a home page article FYI. This will be part of an information sharing series here on Crappie.com.

Hard to beat chartreuse and white for any water condition. I usually will start with this color and have great success with it. While many shapes work the Crappie Magnet is hard to beat. 1/16 chartreuse jig and Livescope fishing structure my preferred fishing style.

This with a Flo Orange head is our Puke Color Combo and with a Pink head we call Pink Puke. Both are the deadliest spring offerings we have. The Pink has pulled ahead in numbers caught the last few years but overall the Flo Orange head is the all-time winner. Standard Tidal River offerings here.

White and chart is my go to color combo. I've always been big on Jokers, Slab Slayers, etc

Saw these the other day and going to fish them hard this year. Palmer's Custom Baits - Local shop has them and available online, they look awesome can't wait to try them. Think I'm gonna try the monkey milk and chart below.

My go to methods for crappie fishing are dock shooting and cast/ retrieve single pole. Below are images of some of my go to colors/ setups. I like to use light weight jig heads for slow fall presentation when shooting docks 1/48oz, 1/64oz as small as 1/100oz with sizes 8 or 10 hooks. I like using both Zman and Bobby Garland artificial plastics. For cast and retrieve I mainly use an underspin namely roadrunners paired with zman guppy grubz or shad FryZ. Simply crappie is where I like to purchase my jigheads and of course I use slab sauce on pretty much everything. List of my go to colors: Electric Chicken, Monkey Milk, Mayfly, Blue Glimmer Sparkle, Coconut Ice, Lights Out, Space Guppy… etc just to name a few.

I've fought it for years and years. Bought thousands of jig bodies. But my pal Allen catches more then me no matter the water color or time of year. His tackle box is a ziploc bag with some unpainted 1/16 head and a 2" grub in pumpkin body/ chartruse tail. It works in cleaner water or very muddy brown. I can catch some beside him, but he will beat me down with it every time.
