1/32 ounce Roadrunner with a 2" Southern Pro Triple tail grub, Tennessee shad color. Used trolling out the back of the boat as well as cast and retrieve while single pole fishing.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

I've probably caught the more on a Lunker City Fin-S-Fish or Fin-S-Shad in alewife pattern on a RoadRunner head, juiced with SlabSauce.

For years in any color water, I used purple/chart 2'' umbrella tubes. When fishing deep or extremely muddy water 2.5'' little Hustler in orange/chart. I always rigged these tubes on insert lead heads . Sure made loading tubes easier if lead dipped in slab sauce . Not sure it helped but sure did not hurt the bite. But since livescope, I use only handtied jigs with white Walmart sacks nearly all the time . Presentation means more than color . Many studies show white is a combination of all colors . Years ago I was taught black or purple at night Bass fishing ,but white does great at night for Crappie too. I tied white jigs with red. black and white thread but could tell no difference. I used to two pole (drag jigs with one in each hand) or mostly verticle jig stake beds and brushpiles. These days it is livescoping and holding a jig on their nose or just above. I have found jigging your bait too much can actually spook Crappie.
