I had planned to get out a couple days this past week, and possibly once this weekend. Mother Nature put the kabash to that. It's been torrential down pours with those High heat, awful bright lightning bolts flying about, not to mention the high winds trying to relocate anything not tied down to the next county. Hard enough to walk straight sober right now, with out the wind, so I been staying in...Best of luck to those who venture out...

As bad as it can be, it’s better than sitting at the house and thinking of it non stop. Great scenery and love the eagle high in the tree. The skunk was also sent packing so a good day overall.

I fished over an hour before getting my first bite yesterday, then managed to pierce the lips of 10 crappie. Only two females, three fish were very blackened and 15" long. After I took the picture for the launch contest, I forgot my phone in the launch shuttle. The water was very clear yesterday with some places having six feet of visibility! The come and go spring has also allowed a strange algae to build up on the dead submerged tules and the bottom. Several of these factors have them building nests in 8ft of water. Of course there are others way back in the brush. Guessing this full moon coming up will get interesting.
