Several years back I dropped a jig on a fish several times . Each time it bit and I set the line but no fish . It did not run off . Looked at my jig and hook was gone .![]()
And I always thought that if you caught a big fish they would run off all the others and wouldn't bite again... you sure proved me wrong on this ... thanks for sharing
Crappie are very spooky, little fish often bite twice, mature fish lot’s less likely, saw a video back when where a fella ketched a 3 plus blackie twice ….
Sometimes they are just in the mood , got my line broke one time by a big male fish on a dock and as I tied on a new jig my good friend H dropped in that same spot.
He immediately got bit and flipped it up on the dock and it spit out my jig …

probably so , I REALLY sling em up on the dock in record speed on larger crappie
my 6 foot fiberglass has some backbone and with 8 lb test in 7 or 8 fow ,it is typically over before they realize what the heck just happened
sometimes I swear they looked totally confused, about how they got in my hand and out of the water before they even had the ever so slightest littlest chance to get away![]()
