I’ve been using Rapala wood handled filet knives for as long as I can remember. Two different sizes. Someone bought me a Gerber filet knife many years ago. I used it… and then put it back in the sheath and it hasn’t left the drawer since. I just don’t care for the rubber / plastic handle. Blade isn’t bad. I’m just used to / prefer my wood handled filet knives.

Last couple of times I cleaned Crappie (about 10 each time), my hands were aching. Getting older. Everything hurts lately.

So I’ve been considering an electric filet knife. Worth it? Or just take some Motrin and carry on with the old Rapala knives?
