The older I get the less addicted I get ..... I used to chase them with ice dripping off my line and fished with lightning hitting trees around me, but now I cut them slack!

Starts at a 6-7 and goes up 1 point for every week without going- every month of the year too!

I don't know if this is right. Bon Temps has the Crappie Bug like I used to have it. He's going every chance he gets in my opinion.

Me, I think about it Every Day! I act on it every few days but now with all the Scientific analysis I do concerning first Tide, then water conditions, then time of year behavior of Crappie, then wind, then what needs attention here that will not be addressed, I talk myself out of going just as much as going. There was a time I went whenever I could which was 4-5 days a week.

My fishing addiction is a big ol 10. If I'm not fishing I'm tying or painting jigs, changing line, cleaning reels, etc. First thing I do every morning is turn on the computer and go to Crappie.com . I'm all in with this addiction and never want to stop.

Mine as my bride calls it, it’s an addiction. She says there is no way a man my age with the arthritis issues I have from old football days and just being a kid who grew up in the 60’s telling everyone “hey watch this”, should want to sit in a boat 8,10, and 12 hours. Trust me I dearly pay the next day kind of move like a cold snake.
If I catch 5 or less it’s definitely going to be a 10. May go at least 1 to 3 hours every day after work and on Saturday. If I catch my limit or over of course not keeping them unless I need fish and never keeping over the limit then it will drop to a level 5 to 7.
I have a competitive nature even with fish. You may beat me today but it’s not over till I am six foot under.
But really not only am I competitive, I really like to learn and the only way you can truly learn is to go and get on the water. Like yesterday my love is single pole fishing, but yesterday they reacted better to casting which is a pain in the butt with current and structure that a needle would have problems passing through. Especially when all they really wanted to bite was hair jigs. Expensive trip!
But to learn without getting on the water get involved with a group like is on Crappie.com.
Yesterday I went to a local river probably caught 200. Kept 25 for family gathering over the next few days. Kept the 11 to 15 inch ones. Should be at a level 5-7 right? But there was only one problem with the trip. Right before dusk dark, I found a massive amount of 15 plus inch fish in a pocket on the river. Not sure may have had state record in there.
I will return within the next few days weather permitting. If today wasn’t Christmas I would have been sitting there at first light this morning.
Hope they want move which is a great possibility fishing rivers, nothing like or as easy as lake fishing. So you guys make the call on my level! Do you agree with my bride. Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Usually runs about a 5 until late February then 9.9 till late April. I may try some on the fly rod this spring, that might push me to a 10

I’m not sure that I even qualify for a number. There’s a few things that I do but fishing is always on my mind. I pour and paint and tie and build rods and have also painted my own cranks. I refuse to pour plastics as I’d have more than many people could ever use. I rod my boats, teach my neighbors and feed everyone early from time to time. I’ve been here on CDC for 17 years and can’t keep my mouth shut, obviously. Temps haven’t deterred me but rain and lightning change my mind. There’s a four letter word that gets in the way of me fishing most days so I’m held back to stolen days and weekends. An occasional staycation also fits in. Over the years I’ve tried different hobbies but fishing has never gone away since I was four and my Dad and brother took me for the first time. I think undeniably obsessed is a good description and I’ll leave the number ratings to y’all.

Skeetbum you sound like a 12 out of 1 - 10 to me.
