Third Time’s A Charm

Started my week off with hopes of a fishing trip. My first two attempts were cancelled due to kids and wife getting sick one after the other. Both days I had picked looked like good fishing days due to weather, feeding chart and just plain ole good feeling about it.

Well plan C it was and thankfully everyone stayed healthy enough for me to sneak away for a few hours. On all accounts it didn’t look like it was gonna be that great of a day, but my desire to be outdoors was enough to get me out of the bed and to my surprise I was blessed with a decent haul for a good fish fry!




Today hands down the star of the show was Crappie Magnet. Color of choice midnight blue on a 1/48oz jig head size 8 hook. All fish were caught on my Norseman UL rod paired with a Piscifun CarbonX reel in the 500 series with 4lb vicious panfish hivis line. Ultralight fishing is some of the most fun you will have on the water and I like to take it to the limit.

I loved it! I couldn’t believe how well I could feel the fish from the attack all the way through the fight it was amplified to another level of fun. Great light weight feel to it. Paired nicely with my Piscifun reel.

Like you had told me it has a lengthy shooting distance. I enjoyed it couldn’t put it down long enough to use any of my other rods.

I’m gonna end up getting their five foot micro lite for trout fishing.
