Hey everyone, An other day or two in the books. Yesterday was PT. The first real day of it. The couple visits before were really evaluations. I spent 10 minutes on the elliptical bike??? Foot pads only went back and forth not round and round. Also it had a bar that associated with each pedal. went real slow, more to stretch. For sure was in the NO RACING zone. lol. Then there was the lunges. Left foot on the second step of their medieval torture device with steps on sides and hand rails...Any way fooot up on second step and lean forward toward the knee to stretch it out, hold for a count of 20. did that to a total of 25. Therapist was happy, and so it was ice in the knee for 20 min. Man that felt good. They use a Hydro cool unit that pumps ice cold water through this wrap-a-round piece. Great device.

Once that was done he took measurements...Straight to 5* and hanging off the bed I got it bent to 94*. Though the right will bend past 0* that's our goal, 0* or straight. and a bent degree of 120*. Had a great rest of the day, rested mostly. Then sometime close to 2:30 this morning, I was finishing up in the bathroom, went to stand up, and not only felt, but heard a pop in the vacinity of right above my left knee. EVERYTHING went white, and I woke the back 1/2 of this here mobile home park with a very, shall we say, un-manly like scream!!!! Ms Joyce still rubbing her ears trying to restablish some communication between ear and ear-drum...The Dr's PA thinks I tore open one of the Quad muscles they had to cut during the operation. Very tender, slight discoloration, more swelling and don't want to tolorate weight at all...Yep, I can hear you all and the "I told you to take it easy"!!!!yep, and I did, just sometimes things don't go to plan...So, the PA said Ice and pain meds, and be in the office Monday.

I can get it back to where I had it straight to, and can get about 92* bent tonight, but it still wont take no weight. Well that's all we doing now. Everyone, enjoy your week-end, stay safe and enjoy life...Eric

Not exactly the words I used, but yep. I'm praying it's not bad. I know the Lord don't put nothing on us we can't handle, But I'm here to tell you, I don't remember anything this bad. Not Kidney surgery, not Colon surgery...I'll know Monday, Hopefully, How bad, and not till then. Now if I can just get some shut-eye...

Hate that for you buddy. Thats gotta be frustrating. Hopefully it’s not too terribly bad and they get you fixed up. It’s been a long aggravating road for you but the end will be worth it. Sounds like it’s going to test you a little more. Stay strong, you got this. Prayers sent.

Just praying this isn't too big o set-back. Monday's PT was cancelled due to going and getting x-rays and seeing what we are actually up against. No sense cryin' over spilt milk. pick up the pieces and keep movin' forward

Wow, sorry to hear that Eric. I have my first outpatient PT next week and pain is still persistent. Thank the Lord for pain meds. I am about 2 weeks ahead of you and have 0 and 95 degrees on the knee. Setbacks are to be expected, but I hope this is not a huge one for you. Stay mentally strong and patient for your results- they will come. I have many friends that have successfully conquered this stuff and I know we will too. Pulling for ya' buddy.

happycaster58, all I can say is just hold on my friend. At the end of each session they have this sleeve thing they put on your knee that had the operation. then pump some cooled liquid through. That part ends way too soon for me. Heaven and earth right there. Takes your mind right away from pain. Really wishin' I had one for here at home....
