I had a Helix 9 that was compatible so I was in the same boat as you. Got the MEGA live on sale awhile back so I figured why not try it. I have some power work to do over the winter as right now I have my live plugged into a 12 volt outlet at the bow that is powered from my main battery. I plan to run it to a dedicated power source and clean things up some. Overall I like the live though as it helps me determine if fish are on the brush before I even start fishing it. If not I move to the next. I jig and spider rig with it. There are used units for sale on bass boat central website...one guy just posted a new one not used for $750.
