Default When they peck at the jig .....

and TRUST me in this heat that is the norm in lots of bank spots I hit .....
and to be sure you never know for sure who is pecking at it .....
no matter ...set the hook like ya mean it and then teach them this ....
it just don't pay that great a dividends to be a pecker in these parts ....
being too small to get my jig in your mouth does not justify being a pecker about it ...
I WILL set the hook and foul hook ya , this is fact ....
mind you this yawl , I lost one or 2 and I ketched a few too...
but to be sure it was a major loss of liquids from my body in the shade in about 20 minutes at 107 and barely a breeze ......
tried a bit larger jig this go and it was not terribly poor on producing a bite
went with a bit larger wood float that I don't really like profile wise too ....
sometimes it just is what it is ,,,,I am low on floats currently
my go fund me page for floats on fakebook , would appreciate all donations ....just saying
    and KABOOM remains the word

That's what fishing without livescope does for you. Unknowing what/when you get a bite. Could be a 3# or could be a little pecker. Better be ready either way. KABOOM!!!

Funny you bring this up. I have almost always change the video when I see someone on youtube pull out the live scope. It's the furthest from the sport of fishing you can get in my opinion. I can understand sonar, SV and CV for finding the spots they are at but LS is like playing video games.

I use one and it amazes me how many peck the jig, hookset and nothing or not hooked good enough to get in the boat, they hit the deck and bounce right back in the water. I've about fell out of my boat trying to catch them bouncing fish! Sickle hooks help and for me up size the jig body helps, also makes the little peckers not so interested. I still seem them hit the weight above my jig, do they sell barrel weights with hooks?

I also notice a whole bunch follow my jig almost to the surface and never bite, I think I need a long net and just start netting them!
