Good stuff. Cow pee/poop water doesn’t sound enjoyable to me. Hope you didn’t get any in your mouth.![]()
We went in with the Chicken feet plastics and ended up with the same , the problem with them is this , when kids drop them and do not really pay extra close attention to the floats , no matter how many times you tell them too, the darn fish try to swallow them ....![]()
about 5:30 pm we hit the dock in the shade and the one with the least amount of experience had my full attention for the most part, she struggled a bit to hoist them fish and lost tons of them and the white crappie were all in love with her deep float presentation in about 8 foot of water 6 foot down .
We took us a break after about an hour and rode around the 500 acres in a big 5 seater Yamaha diesel rig , we chased us a few jack rabbits , scared a few deer and even got to chase one road runner as well ....big fun for sure ...
down the mountain and up the mountain and stuck in the mud and EVEN hit the cattle crossing water bog as a speed level that was WAY to high ...
though it would be fun to splash was silly me , instead we all took a serious hard drenching shower in the cow pee/poopy water .....
the kids thunk it was disgustingly hilarious as I did and my wife basically thought it was just stupid and disgusting
Went back around 8 pm to the same dock to hit the crappie again and they were gone and replaced with over active big bluegill ....darn the bad luck ....right ?
sure was alot of work trying to keep up with 3 of them tangling lines and slinging fish and hooks all over the place , that much is fact and then this ....
we clocked a jack rabbit at 27 mph running straight in front of us in a zig zag pattern down the road ! pretty darn fast rabbit/hare for sure
the fish and children all survived the adventure and the wife and myself as well, tried to ketch a baby pancake turtle , too fast ...
tried to ketch a water snake too ....again too fast
tried to ketch fish and they was mostly not fast enough .....![]()
it was a long 7 hours ....
but let me tell yawl yet another story ....
I was supposed to visit my pulmonary doc before said adventure, got there and tried to joke around a bit with the receptionist ...was scheduled for a breathing test ....
brace yourself , she asked what I was there for .....
I said I am here for my " Jethro Tull aqualung test " ...and she said what ??
I realized at about 20 years younger than me she had a zero clue and apologized for a silly joke that went about 2 feet over her head ...
some lady in the back of the waiting room who looked to be 10 years older then me smiled big and said this ....I know what your talking about !
could it better you ask , oh heck yeah ...
the receptionist then informed me my visit was for the 18th Tuesday
and Not the 13th Thursday
....me poor ole bad eyes thing ...
so now it seems I might have to go ketch more fish on Tuesday after that appointment as well
and K A B O O M is the word
p.s. we got lots of videos and images , but most of them have the kids in them and I did not ask for permission to post images of other folks kids ....just saying

we got it once real good in and on EVERYTHING basically and about one zillion grasshoppers right in the middle of the oral orifice a few times too....
was a right tasty event and that after smell is a nice quite barnyard like odor as well ......
wife sure wasn't seeing the humor in it much , but mister big kid and the lilz, thunk it was pretty darn hilarious stuff to be taking at fairly high speeds in an open vehicle ....![]()

Nothing wrong with having some fun hitting some puddles no matter what's in them. My wife would have reacted the same way. I still can't do anything right even after 45+ years of marriage but I still try. Those are some nice slabs the kiddies caught as well. Bet those jigs taste like chicken. Big Kaboom day, thanks for the ride along.
Ketchn thanked you for this post

Sounds like them youngins had a great adventure they'll remember for a bit. I'm with Jim, though it hasn't been no where near 45 years let alone more n that. If I get a mile over the posted speed limit with her in the vehicle, I hear, you know I'm going to tell the policeman that stops you for speeding I told you , you were speeding right...AAAARGH!!!!! One reason I'm by myself alot!!! Ex Company Truck Drivers.....Rules, are made to be kept...SORTA, and it depends on whose rules they are says me!!!!
