I bet you were good at 2 poling. You still have to make a good presentation with the jig using FFS.

I'd say that a lot of video footage shot by Josh never makes it to his videos, he's just showing the highlights, not all the time spent trolling around searching and casting to the fish that aren't biting. Just because you can see them doesn't mean they will bite.
Agreed it takes alot of wasted time away from looking for fish i have hundreds of stake and brush beds and thousands of docks on my home lake i can fish ffs takes the guesswork out of fishing i don't use it to target one particular fish because i don't tournament fish but everyone i take sure appreciate being around fish all day long but like you said you still have to make em bite it kinda puts things into perspective when you have 5000 fish on your graph on a trip and you bring home 30 they are a handy tool but also in a way can sure humble a feller.

Yes, I’ve gone home skunked before not from not finding fish but because they refused to bite anything that I had. It is very humbling to watch them on FFS look at the jigs and then turn around or just swim past like nothing was there.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

    Does a fat baby fart?

It makes finding fish a lot easier, but when you're on a "level" playing field, that playing field is elevated, just at a higher level.

I fished out 22-23 championship scoping the same fish, and on occasion, deciphering who was going to fish for a particular fish, with another competitor. He got 1st place. I got last. I just couldn't execute the way he did. So yes, it may be "cheating", but once you find those fish, you still have to be able to catch them.

Older garmin with ps22 transducer, ice fishing in down mode works well to see two lines spaced about 5 feet apart in the portable ice house, when the Wife and I fish, and there ante must else to do but watch the screen.lol.In the boat not to often, rather boring out in a boat watching a screen video fishing.

I would have driven right past these fish without FFS. I was cruising down a shoreline to get to a set of docks and happened to have the LVS turned at a 90 towards shore from the last dock. Dont know if i have ever hit spot lock any quicker. Filled the livewell in about 20 minutes. I was able to keep turning the transducer and stay on the school the whole time, every cast was a bite. I get to ketch over some really fancy tournament grade FFS equipment when time permits and it could be something that makes or breaks ya if your good with it and enjoy that style of ketchn fish .
Crappie tournament anglers must use it and use it well to be a someone in them circles , but alas poor lil ole me has no desire to be a someone in those circles and just want to be ketchn

I use a ps22 on a 9". I dont do much one on one sniping but it has definitely opened my eyes to new places to fish. On days when they are biting good it doesn't help much your gonna catch what your ability allows. But on days when they are hard to locate it can help you find them. Other days it is kinda fun to play with it

Live sonar, because it is not always facing forward.
