What colors do you struggle to catch fish with ? For me it is pink . Really crazy since I fish a pink head 80 % of the time . Doubt that I have caught more than 50 in my life on pink, pink/white and electric chicken combined . Most likely water clarity has me using something else when they would work better . thoughts .

Love me a hot pink head and a hot pink body here , but it’s when they want it ….
There is a time and place for all the colors …..
Last water visit yesterday they were done with the orange ….
Changed over to pearl and for sure it changed everything ….

Pink is mainly a bright color like flourescent colors or bright white. In crystal clear water pink looks pink, but how many waters you fish that are crystal clear?

I'm not a color diehard but do have a few confidence colors - very few that are very bright. Color emphasizes lure shape and action whcih are primary strike triggers. Strike triggers, in general, provoke fish either via irritation or a hightened nervous-level. A bright color may do just that - irritate the crape out of crappie with hue secondary.

Colors are most important to fishermen. Years ago, I used some pink and white tube jigs with insert heads. Caught plenty just like every other color I tried.

Below are a pink Trick Worm and a pink/chartreuse C. Magnet. Both caught many fish on many outings. Another was a hybrid that combined a pink grub body and pink paddle tail together.

With all due respect to all and the opinions expressed, the color really doesn't matter, but instead only represents variations of contrast, which along with profile, scent, patterns, textures, and presentations work to instigate the strike. I tend to believe that a fisherman could/would do just fine with white, green pumpkin, chartreuse, and black variations in jig heads and trailers for almost all species. I must say however that variations of color (even very bright and/or neutral colors) (at times) do provide certain nuances of contrast (over others) that fish seem to prefer.

Couldn't have said it better! As has been stated many times before, presentation, lure size, action, shape and weight are far more important than color.

Gold. Never had any luck with a goldish tube jig. Took them out of the boat.

I’ve pulled crankbaits for several hundred miles, probably more. I have a Bandit in a discontinued shade of pink that always produces more than any other pink I’ve tried, even with 4 different pinks in the same spread. I had to know. Pink bodies seldom get tied on but pink heads get some play. Electric chicken has its days. Pink body and a chartreuse tail also gets used in my spread of jigs. I tried some Vegas Bobby Garland baby Shad with no luck. Recently a tripletail pink/white curl tail has worked some too. I won’t be loading up on any particular pink in the near future.

not sure if fish even see color is me , but to be VERY sure they can see things well in some spots .
I used to have some ketchn karrots some fella made me as somewhat of a joke in my box ....
they were just stupid bright and NEVER got used .....
one day we were struggling and I got desperate to ketch something ....
my handtie box now has about 80% ketch karrots in it ....
pink was that way for me as well , till bertha bit that there watermelon looking plastic one fine day ....just fyi yawl

I also like making monkey milk chartreuse tail baby shads & using a pink nibble on them.
