Vicki’s Dad passed away last night after a short bout with pneumonia. He was 86.
He only fished with me one time and the whole time he couldn’t concentrate on fishing for worrying about the time and all the things he needed to do. I guess that’s why some folks are good at business and some are good at fishing.
He was a pillar in his church and community. He was a Ford/Lincoln dealer for 40 years.
He always supported my efforts, probably because I had his oldest daughter in tow. I’m sure he would have liked to see me spend more time doing things that would make good money but he sure did love my fried crappie.
He loved his family more than anything. He worshipped his grandkids and great grandkids and I’ll forever be grateful my kids and grandkids got to know and love their grand and great grand parents, all married to original spouses.
I’ll miss him. Vicki is heartbroken because she wasn’t with him when he passed.
