Super glue

A tough plastic is key, them softer plastics don’t ketch more fish and get ruined quickly, one sand bass or catfish on some plastics and it makes no difference how it was put on the jig head

Any of you fellows use super glue to glue bodies to your hook, if so how in the world do you keep the nozzle from clogging, I try to wipe it off, tap the bottle and few times to make sure there is no glue up in nozzle, then press bottle to make sure air is coming out. It seem to me just everytime I need to use it the thing was clogged.

Not sure this will work for you but here it is . I used to use purple/chartreuse Umbrella tubes most of the time . I used insert type jig heads . Some makers did better than others smoothing mold flash so I checked for that . Used to dip the lead in Slab Sauce or other scent oil to help insert into tube bait. When nothing going on at home rig 25 to 50 baits . On the water I could just tie one on and rerig them later. Ever think about pre rigging plastic baits on jig heads with the glue?

I use to prerig baits all the time, but one things for sure, all those I preriged was not the color they wanted. Not saying that preriging is not a good way to go.

thats what i do glue 3 different baits on three different poles if i want to switch colors or different jigs ill just pick another pole

That LocTite gel is on Amazon for less than $3. Just have to look. A tube will do a lot of baits. I never have clogging issues.

I do the insertion of the bait onto the hook, then ensure everything is aligned, then ease the plastic bait back, then a drop of gel on the shank of the hook, then slide the bait up. This gets it inside and leaves some for the tip to afix to the jig head.

Put in trig when your not fishing and it stay good for a longer time

If you want super glue to keep a long time store it in your fridge. Ive got a bottle of loctite 420 that Ive had for 8 yrs and still good.

I've done it a few times ... I like to wrap the shank in dental floss first. As for the bottle not clogging... I clean as much as possible and pray lol

loctite gel works well and have been using it for few months.
