I’d check K9 out. I’ve been fishing braid on my dipping rods for 8-9 years now. Have tried a lot and K9 in white is my favorite. I don’t use anything under 10lb but believe it goes down to 5lb.

I've been using Suffix 832 hi vis yellow in 6lb for a few years on my crappie rods,, seems to hold up and cast pretty good.

most of the braid I was given back when to test faded quickly , you never really break off, so the line you use is used until the color fades on it . My suggestion is if it's braid and you like to use it , trim off 15 foot or so once in a while to get back to the fresh on the spool not faded version .

That is my mileage with Power Pro as well. It will fade. I like to trim it back some but keep some of the faded / dirty section to tie at the jig in hopes it reduces it's visibility in the water. Does it make any difference? Who knows. It makes me feel better.
