what is the lightest jig that you will use?

1/64 or else I have to respool with lighter line and 6 lb mono is a bear with a 1/64 on the end at times too ....

Right now 1/64 is my smallest. I think I might like to try a 1/80 size 8 or 10.

1/80th chub head on a #10 -#12 sickle. Found some Vmc #14 jig hooks and poured some today. Even smaller than #12 sickles at 3/8" length, probably use them for trout and gills.

I have some 1/80 and 1/100 but haven’t tried the 1/100 yet. My thought on going light is that when the fish stop eating whatever size you’re using, start going smaller and a lot of times they’re still eating.
1/64 in my box every time out. Favorite jig comes out of a 1/32 mold and weighs 1/43 with a #8 sickle hook.

I enjoy using a 1/80th under a small bobber in really shallow water near weeds or other vegetation. If I have to tip, which is very rare, I’ll use one maggot.

I have some 1/100 that I use in 3 and 4 jigs on the same 2 lb line. btw I buy them, not tie them.
