Pos/neg doesnt matter on a switch, unless you are using your outboard battery which is grounded to the hull. If its a grounded system, you always switch on the pos. If its a closed system, like dedicated livescope battery, it doesnt matter. You ALWAYS fuse/breaker the positive side.

No switch, just a manual reset circuit breaker, serves double duty, circuit protection and an easy disconnect.
The black box does consume a small amount of power when not being used so I always cut it off when the charger is done.

I have Skinny Water lithiums on my engine, electronics, and trolling motor. All 3 circuits have cut-off switches at the batteries. My Livescope isn’t switched but my Mega Live and Target Lock are switched at the bow.
