I do double jigs heavier one on the bottom when I pull planer boards. I usually pull boards in spring so I am not fishing really deep

I know some of you use weights when you PUSH jigs, but what about pulling single jigs or tandem jigs?

I do heavy on bottom too. Mostly pull them at 12-15 fow. No boards.

If by "pulling" you mean Longline Trolling ... added weight would shorten up the amount of line needed to get the jigs down to the appropriate depths. That's one of the major plus factors of Pushing jigs, not needing as much line out. That helps in several ways, such as not as much line to bring in while reeling in a fish, giving the fish less chance of coming off, and allowing for sharper turns.
CrappiePappy... No not longlining. When I troll crankbaits I use a 2 oz weight with only about 12-15 ft of line out the back of the boat. I was wondering if anyone does this same thing but with jigs. Pretty much the same as pushing but out of the back instead of front. And yes I love the turning ability on shorter lines![]()
