    Default need help

Searching for a D-bore 10mm hub for my transducer mount. My home made lift motor has a D shaft. All I can find in 10mm is round bore. The dc motor d shaft slips on the 10mm round bore hub. I can find 10mm D-bore sprockets, but no hubs. I am about searched out.

Shaft slipping interferes with the stop position sensors. There are plenty 6mm D-bore hubs available. ha

    THANKS

can you post some pics of the item you're referring to?

could you possibly use a small round/rat tail file and change the profile by filing the round hole into a "D" shaped profile?

Then drill and tap for a set screw to help tighten the items together, even thought the d shape should prevent the 2 pieces from spinning independently.

After rereading your post, can you drill and tap for a set screw on the hub that would be adjacent to the flat D spot on the lift motor shaft?

I tried that. Still slips. Not much to Tap. 8-32 is about max .

Could you drill and tap the hole bigger, or get a nut welded on the outside for a beefier screw?

3D print one. There are some tough filaments available - carbon fiber, etc. good to 8,000+ psi.

That’s kinda what I was thinking DSJ.
Just tig up the void in the round bore and make it a D-bore.
Or maybe make a keyway to fill the void but that may slip also.

A blank hub and a Machine Shop with a wire EDM machine. They could cut the D shape in
