    Default Terrova steering issues.

Out on the water yesterday and I lost steering on my TM. It is 2017 BT I-Pilot 55# thrust. There is some damage to the collar of the steering housing but I'm thinking I coukdnt hear the steering motor whine. Anybody ever replaced the motor or the steering housing? Any advice. I posted a similar thread to the mechanics page but the frequent flyers are boat motor guys....maybe...dono.

Pretty simple if you’re mechanically inclined. Great videos on YouTube and parts are available online. I broke my steering collar fishing submerged timber and the collar was around $5 to replace.

Jones trolling motors has done me well in the past. 870-773-3474 I cracked my steering housing a few years back and it wasn’t super hard, and I didn’t look it up on YouTube.

I use Trollingmotorparts.com for my Ultrex parts and they are super helpful on phone and YouTube. Not a paid endorsement.

A little shout out to my wife here. Over the years I've noticed she has talent for remembering where small parts go. She is very helpful for things like this.

I’ve replaced about everything on all models at one time or other for friends and myself.
Not rocket science for sure. Just take your time and take pictures if possible.
You will be fine and save lots of money.
