braid to fluoro problem

I have been using 10lb reaction tackle braid, and kast king 6lb fluorocarbon. I used a uni to uni knot, 11 wrap on braid and 6 on fluorocarbon. I have been using this for bluegills ...

Why so heavy for bluegills?
