What is the advantage of red hooks?

some times I believe that color is just a mental attitude of the fisherman/woman that's using it. Worms and minnows are all the same and have caught fish for more years than I've been around,80. However color has caught me to the point that I think I've got enough on hand, both hooks and baits, to start my own bait and tackle store.
