    That’s an interesting thought. Never thought of it quite that way. The turtles do have a pecking order though and most always go from biggest to smallest down the log.

    we have tons of turtles here in the areas there are no gators , them sunning in packs on logs isn't a rare thing when it warms a bit outside .
    never thought the crappie nipping at their feet was a real thing myself , but it always made me smile when an old timer would tell me that .
