I am a little bias but Slabanator jigs are tuffer than bobby garland. I have not ever use salt water plastics. I don't know anybody that uses it on crappie jigs. From what I have seen the harder the plastic the harder it is to get 2 color baits to fuse together, just something to keep in mind. In my opinion with that small of a hook it is very easy to rip the jig taking the hook out or it is for me. That is one of the reasons I don't use small hooks...
