My favorite fishing hole is a little less than sixty acres. One to four feet along the banks and a few eight foot holes here and there. I know where the blowdowns and most of the submerged stumps are. Doesn’t take long to locate the Crappie. A few months ago I bought my first unit…. a Striker Vivid 7CV. I doubt I’ll use it much on that pond, although I may take it there to learn how to use the unit. Never even played with one before. I bought it as a timesaver on new and/or bigger water. I probably won’t buy anything more complicated than that. I had a cat once and I used to dangle a toy on a string in front of him. We both eventually got bored with it.
I’m sixty-eight years old and I hunted through the years of the long bow vs. compound vs. crossbow debate. At the end of that debate there were more deer than ever in the woods.
I don’t see electronics as something that will endanger our favorite fish. I think most true fishermen have a good moral compass and will act accordingly. Outlaws will be outlaws. Thank goodness they are in the minority.
