We actually saw this leaving the Padanaram ramp at Pymatuning in NE Ohio a few years ago. We were driving down the access road leaving the ramp and saw a amish buggy with horses towing a boat and trailer to the ramp with an outboard on the back. We also wondered if they cannot use a gas powered vehicle, how can they use an outboard?
A little further south at Mosquito Reservoir you see all kinds of amish renting the yellow causeway boats with outboards.

Chaunc would know as he fishes both reservoirs too.

I guess exceptions to their religion can be made for walleye.

It all depends as to what order they are in. Was at a sawmill, on ones property, and they had electric in the house, and could tell there was a tv on. One uses a tractor to tow a trailer with heavy equipment on it. Truthfully at that point, that isn't being Amish. And most all of them have cell phones, but ask others to charge them for them. Their old time thrashers, had motors on them, but was pulled with horses.
