no doubt , the air base is close to there and all the planes going by were tilted at about a 45 degree angle .

Glad you were able to find biting fish.

That North East wind was something else Friday. I took the pontoon out for a couple of hours, trying to find spots out of the wind when it was from the North. I found several but none of them had any fish in them. I found a couple of good spots on the North shore between 10-15' deep that did not have any type of structure in the area. (Hint Ketchn).

Went back out yesterday, perfect day for fishing. Found a lot of fish in submerged trees and around bridge pillars but didn't catch a single keeper. Only caught 4-6" crappie and white bass the entire day.

Going to try again in a couple of hours to see if I can find the bigger ones.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.

Did you guys notice that Ketchn’s buddy was fishing with a rod in each hand just to compete with his Barbie pole?

he is actually using his left hand to VERY slowly raise the jig in the water column
lifting the rod slowly greatly reduces your ability to get a solid hook set
your rod tip gets to high to set the hook properly and might even hit the overhead structure .
he is tutored well in the art of the dangle my friends .
everything I know and then a bit he figured out on his own .
was a sponge when he first went with me , now a force to be reckoned with some days
