Finally got back on the horse after a long lay off from crappie fishing. Our lake may reach historic low levels before the rains come. Most of the launch ramps are closed and not many people are fishing. I went to a few spots that have deep water and have produced in summer in the past. Caught one dink at the first spot after spending too much time there. Nothing at the second stop. Hooked a giant catfish that broke my hook at the bend. started catching, and kept at it until running out of light. Added 6 to my yearly goal, and am itching to get after them again.

Nice catch, Noodle. BTW, how close are you getting to your goal?

You did find them in tough conditions
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Thank you guys for the nice comments and encouragement, looks like 187 left to catch to reach my goal. That's 30 trips at last night's catch rate!
