I grew up crappie fishing the old school way but I use a livescope and I just enjoy pulling crappie out of the water.

Everybody for their own on livescope and all that stuff. To me it’s much more rewarding and fun doing it the old way. I just recently got a simple di and don’t use it much.

Let me tell you about the Naked Lady Hole. My good friend P.R. and I were fishing on a brush pile when two girls on a party barge, mid 20s, came very close to us and dropped anchor…….never said a word. Then, they both went to “takin it off.” They both had on bikinis underneath, but just seeing them shucking out of their Tshirts and shorts was quite a memorable experience for sure! They knew exactly what they were doing too…..they enjoyed messing with us two old fat guys in the fishing boat. They swam a while, then laid out and suntanned a while, then they swam again and left. Probably stayed a couple of hours and then they left…….and took my heart with them.![]()
Things are still simple. Some folks just makes things complicated.

Well said. I think part of me saying that in those times I was a carefree teenager with a part time job and more disposable income then I knew what to do with. Vehicles had carburetors and cassette decks and outboards were premix 2 strokes fed by metal 6 gallon gas tanks.

You drop a marker buoy on Truman Lake ( specially on lower lake area ) you will instantly have 4 deck boat 6 Jon boats and 5 bass trackers Full of black hat Mennonites bouncing jigs off the side of your boat and tangled in your marker line !

Has gotten so bad that people around here call White bass "Miss Yoder Fish Sticks "
I spent the summers on Lake of the Woods in Canada from the time I was born until about age 22. Got there on July 1 and left just before Labor Day.
No phones, television, zero electronics on boat.
If I didn’t learn landmarks, I would still be there trying to figure out how to get back to the cabin.
Changed my first water pump on my old 115 mercury up there.
Good times and memories I’ll always cherish.
Chuck.
