Another aspect of thermoclines is habitat placement. If you are planning to place brush piles (or other structures) so they can be used in the summer you have to know how deep the typical thermocline is on that water. Placing the habitat structures below the "normal" thermocline depth will render them useless in the summer months.

yes this is true , they might hold winter fish ,but if they are below a developed thermocline most assuredly not in the summer
